Event Description:
These instructions will appear on all judge ballots for Oratory:
Time Limit:
5-10 minutes with a 30 second grace period (Anything over results in the student being scored one rank less than they would have been otherwise).
Description of Event:
Competitors in OO or original oratory present a speech they have written to illuminate and persuade their audience on a subject, ideal, or thought. It should be something the speaker is passionate about and inspire change or action. It should contain cited sources to back up their point. The competitors are not allowed to use “props” or visuals.
