Event Description:
These instructions will appear on all judge ballots for Duo:
Time Limit:
5-10 minutes with a 30 second grace period (Anything over results in the student being scored one rank less than they would have been otherwise).
Description of Event:
There should be two students who may play as many characters as they can clearly execute and cut from published literature. Students must play one or more characters, with equitable division between performers. There should be an introduction that identifies the author and title (this often follows a brief prologue). This event should be fully memorized; no script books allowed. Competitors should NEVER look at or touch each other, but should be able to create the illusion of physical contact. The script can be humorous or dramatic but should include a good storyline, rising action, climax, and falling action. No props or costumes are permitted.
