Rules of Thumb:
-
PF is a two-on-two debate that focuses on facts. This month’s topic is “Resolved: The United States’ strategy of Great Power Competition produces more benefits than harms.”
-
Students will present their cases and each case should link to a framework.
-
An example of a framework is Cost-Benefit Analysis. Meaning everything in their case would support that either the cost outweighs the benefits or vice versa.
-
Ultimately you will decide who wins the round based on their case and how they argued it.
- How to Judge: Keep track of who has the stronger case and who argues better. Ultimately it is up to you as a judge to determine the winner.
-
Give each speaker their speaker points (if applicable) between 25-30. Make plenty of comments on the ballot.
