Rules of Thumb:

  • 3 Kinds: Humorous, Dramatic, POI

  • 7-10 Minute limit

  • Humorous Interp: The goal is to make you laugh!!! It’s basically a skit that the competitor acts out.

  • Dramatic Interp: The goal is to make you feel. Typically it should make you feel very sad. Again, another skit that they act out.

  • POI is an event that is not memorized. Students choose a theme, and then select several different works from different mediums (meaning poetry, plays, novels, etc) and merge them together into one presentation that focuses on that theme.

  • Judging: Please submit your ballot as soon as possible. You can always go back and edit your feedback, but the tournament will be held up if the ballots don’t come in!*** :D
