Power Performance Vocal Solo
Event Description:
a. The song chosen for the performance may be any song of your or the students choosing.
b. The song and any spoken introduction must not exceed five minutes in length.
c. The song does not need to be memorized.
d. The director or appropriate adult may prompt the student during their recorded performance if needed.
e. When the recording is submitted, please include the lyrics of the song.
f. If the student is using an accompaniment track, voices may be on the track and also may be heard on the recorded performance. Please do not let the accompaniment over power the student’s voice.
g. The students will not be judged on the level of the piece that they are performing.
h. Every student will receive an award for participating.
i. This event will be prerecorded and submitted a week before the date of the live competition. Please see above performance dates for each school.
