Event Description:

a) Selections in contemporary duet acting shall be cuttings from a single source from a play. The play should be written after 1922.

b) These selections may be serious or humorous works.

c) Each presentation shall not exceed five minutes and the thirty second grace period. There is no minimum time required.

d) Each selection should be slated and introduced with each actor taking part. The performers names, scene, characters, playwright, and play should be presented during the slate/ introduction.

e) The selection should be memorized and presented without the use of the physical objects (notes, props, hand props, or scenery) or costume. Two chairs will be allowed. The two chairs may be used to create atmosphere and environment. Violation shall result in being ranked last in the round.

f) A student may compete with one partner from the same school and one selection at a given tournament.
