Event Description:
a selection of poetry delivered by a single performer from manuscript using no props or costumes. Students may read one long piece or a collection of shorterones. If choosing to present a collection, the poems should be unified by some central theme (e.g. author, subject, poetic form). Students should strive to bring the literature to life using primarily facial expression and vocal quality in natural, realistic and believable ways. Students should provide brief introductory remarks that establish theme, title(s), and poet(s). Maximum time 7 minutes.
