Dramatic Performance

Event Description:

This is a memorized event in which the student presents a literary selection from a play or work of prose. The cutting is usually structured around a cohesive scene or story line: it has a definite beginning, middle, and end. At the conclusion of the performance, the selection has moved the listener in some fashion. The student may perform one character or multiple characters. Time: 7 minute maximum (including introduction) - no minimum; 30 second grace.
