Awards

Event Awards

In individual events, all finalists will receive awards. In duet events, both partners will receive awards. In readers theatre and lip sync, each team will receive a single award.

In Congressional Debate, all finalists will receive awards.

In Lincoln-Douglas and public forum debate, students reaching the quarterfinal round will receive awards.

In world schools debate, members of the teams reaching the semifinal round will receive awards.

Please Note: In Lincoln-Douglas, public forum debate, and world schools debate, non-advancing quarterfinalists and semifinalists will receive their awards at the conclusion of their quarterfinal and semifinal rounds.

Sweepstakes Awards

Team sweepstakes awards will be awarded to the top six teams. Sweepstakes points will be awarded as follows:

Individual Events

First Place = 15 points

Second Place = 12 points

Third Place = 10 points

Fourth Place = 8 points

Fifth Place = 6 points

Sixth Place = 4 points

Seventh Place = 2 points

Eighth Place = 2 points

Congressional Debate

First Place = 15 points

Second Place = 12 points

Third Place = 10 points

Fourth Place = 8 points

Fifth Place = 6 points

All Other Finalists = 2 points

Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Public Forum Debate

First Place = 15 points

Non-Advancing Semifinalist = 10 points

World Schools Debate

First Place = 15 points

Second Place = 12 points

Non-Advancing Semifinalist = 10 points
