Contest Room Info

The pairings should include a Google Maps link to the location of the building. Additionally, a map app on your smart phone will recognize the names of the building as listed on the pairing.

Somehard guidelinesbefore room information:

1)Under no circumstances should debaters enter a classroom while class is in session. If a class is in session students should wait patiently outside and prep in the hallway. Some of the rooms being used for the 3PM and 5PM debates will not let out until 10 minutes before the hour. If a class is occupied past the round start students/coaches should emaillonghornclassic2022@gmail.comand the tabroom director will come to the room and evict the offenders.

2)Don't unplug the classroom PC towersor mess with any equipment in the rooms. Chairs, desks, lecterns, available outlets only.

3)Do not play with the interior locks on the classroom doors. Seriously. If the tabroom finds any students (or adults) playing with the locks they will be asked to leave the tournament immediately.

For Varsity CX Rd 1 and Varsity LD Rd 1, things will be a little scattered. There is an hour in between pairings and the start of the round to account for students trying to find their buildings. There are still classes in session and we're using what's available. For the rest of the debate rounds, you can expect they will occur in the following buildings.

LD debaters should expect to occupy the STEM buildings on North Campus. Those with flexible transportation (read: not a bus) can consider dropping LD students off on Dean Keaton Saturday morning before rounds. The debates in WAG are the only outlier in that cluster.

The speech events will use the following buildings on Saturday: BUR, CMA, FAC, GEA, JES, MEZ, SZB, CAL. Rounds will predominantly occur in BUR, CMA, JES, and SZB. The rooms are mainly in BUR, CMA, JES, and SZB. BUR, CMA, FAC, and GEA are all close to each other on Northwest campus. JES, MEZ, SZB, and CAL are all nearby the UTC building. The extemp events will use the cluster of builidngs near the UTC. Extemp draw is in the second floor (ground floor) of the UTC.
