An excerpt from a novel, selection of poetry, or a scene from a play delivered by a single performer from a manuscript using no props or costumes. Students should strive to bring the literature to life for the audience, involving them vicariously in the work. Students are required to provide brief introductory remarks that, at the least, identify the work's author and title.
