Event Description:
A selection of poetry (a single poem or a compilation) delivered by a single performer from a manuscript using no props or costumes. The poems in a compilation program should be unified by some central element (e.g. author, subject, poetic form). Students should strive to bring the literature to life using primarily facial expression and vocal quality in natural, realistic and believable ways. Students are required to provide brief introductory remarks that, at the least, identify the poem/s' title/s and author/s.
