Event Description:

After selecting one topic from a group of three, students will have thirty minutes to prepare a speech on a domestic or foreign issue. During preparation time, students may access the internet, but they cannot access prepared speeches or outlines. When presenting the speech, one 3x5 note card may be used.

Students will have 30 minutes to prepare and 7 minutes to perform (with a 30-second grace period).

Quarterfinals: United States Foreign Policy

Semifinals: Southeast Asia
