Event Description:

High schools may register up to six entries. Additional entries will be placed on a waiting list.

The debate will follow the standard 6-3-7-3-4-6-3 format, with 4 minutes of prep time.

The MHSAA Manual will govern Lincoln-Douglas Debate.

Novice and Varsity divisions WILL NOT be combined, regardless of entry numbers. 

Varsity topic - Resolved: The United States ought to implement a single-payer universal healthcare system.

If a novice competitor chooses to prepare for the healthcare topic instead of Civil Disobedience, they may (and should) be registered for the Varsity division.

Entry limit: 6 entries

Judge quota: 1 judge per 2 entries. Judges must be available for Friday and Saturday.
