Event Description:

Public Forum is two teams of two debating each other, debating about issues that are related to current events. One team will be pro, or for the resolution, the other will be con, or against the resolution. The sides will be determined by a coin flip. The pro side will argue for why we should implement the resolution, and the con side will argue for why we should not implement the resolution. They will each take time to argue against the other team’s plan. Speakers should be judged on speaking ability, argument quality, and their ability to uphold their arguments, tear down opposing arguments, and convince the judge that their plan of action is the most correct.

During 1 “round” a judge will see 2 “flights”. That means they will watch two separate debates occur during the time period at hand.
