Event Description:
Pentathlon is an exciting challenge for experienced speech and debate competitors. In this event, competitors will compete in 5 different events across the rounds of competition. The rounds will be:
1. Interpretation (HI, DI, POI, or DUO (with notification)) or Original Oratory
2. SpAr / Impromptu (Both completed in one round)
3. Big Questions Debate
4. Mixed Extemporaneous Speech
Each event will proceed according to the standard rules (as detailed in the corresponding event pages). All competitors should ensure that they are prepared for each round, as the winner will be determined by the best overall finisher in each event. The winner will be given the Valkyrie trophy, which is specially reserved for this event.
