Humorous Interp

Event Description:

Dramatic and Humorous Interpretation, Program of Oral Interpretation, Duo Interpretation:

1. Time Limit: 10 minutes

2. A student may not perform a cutting performed in a previous competitive year

3. No props or costuming is allowed

4. All works with the exception of of works written/published by the student or coach are allowed

5. Selections should be appropriate for a high school performance

6. Only students in Program of Oral Interpretation may read from a script, all other students reading from notes/script will be ranked last

7. Duo students may only touch during the introduction

8. All other NSDA rules will be followed

All Speech Events:

1. Ties will be broken in the following order: ranks, judges preference (where 3 or more judges are present), reciprocals. If entries are still tied they will either all advance or tie for the final position.

2. All speech events (with the exception of congress) have a 30 second grace period
