Oratory and Informative:

Time Limit: 10 minutes

A student may not use a speech given at a tournament in a previous competitive year

Students may not quote more than 150 words

Students speaking from notes/script will be ranked last

Students in informative are allowed visual aids in accordance with NSDA rules
All Speech Events:

Ties will be broken in the following order: ranks, judges preference (where 3 or more judges are present), reciprocals. If entries are still tied they will either all advance or tie for the final position.

All speech events (with the exception of congress) have a 30 second grace period
