Plano/Clark Swing Tournament Schedule

Cross entry limits: 

1. PF, LD, and WSD entries may only single-enter.
2. Congressional Debate students can only cross-enter in Clark IEs, not Plano Senior IEs. 
3. Students entering in individual events can enter into up to three events per section; however, they may only enter in one division of FX or DX per each side of the tournament. 
4. Section A IEs - Prose, HI, FX, DX, OO 
5. Section B IEs - PO, DI, Duo, Info, POI 

All IEs with 20 or more entries will have a semifinal. All IEs with 19 or fewer entries will have two prelims and then break straight to finals. 

Friday 

5 PM - Plano IE Round 1, Section A (PR, HI, FX, DX, OO). In Extemp: Draw begins at 5; round starts at 5:30 

5 PM - Round 1 - PF, LD

5 PM - Congress Prelims 

6:30 PM - Plano IE Round 1, Section B (PO, DI, Duo, Info, POI) 

7:30 PM - Round 2 - PF, LD 

7:30 PM - Congress Finals 

8:00 PM - Plano IE Round 2, Section A (PR, HI, FX, OO). 

9:30 PM - Plano IE Round 2, Section B (PO, DI, Duo, Info, POI)

Saturday 

9 AM - Clark IE Round 1, Section A (PR, HI, FX, DX, OO). In Extemp: Draw begins at 9; round starts at 9:30  

9 AM - Round 3 - PF, LD

10:30 AM - Clark IE Round 1, Section B (PO, DI, Duo, Info, POI)

11:30 AM - Round 4 - PF, LD

12 PM - Clark IE Round 2, Section A (PR, HI, FX, DX, OO). In Extemp: Draw begins at 12; round starts at 12:30

1:30 PM - Clark IE Round 2, Section B (PO, DI, Duo, Info, POI)

2 PM - LD and PF Runoffs

3 PM - Finals, Plano IEs Section A (PR, HI, Duo, FX, DX, OO). In Extemp: Draw begins at 3; round starts at 3:30  

3:30 PM - PF Semis, LD Quarters

5 PM - Round 1 -  Prepared Motion - This House supports rent control legislation.

7 PM - Round 2 - Prepared Motion - This House supports rent control legislation. (switch sides) 

Saturday -

9 AM - Round 3 - Impromptu Motion 

12 AM - Round 4 - Prepared Motion - This House believes that the environmental rights of future generations supersede the economic interests of current generations.

2 PM - Partials, if needed - Prepared Motion - This House believes that states should construct data-based profiles of their citizens (e.g. the social credit system in China).

4 PM - Impromptu Motion - Semis

7 PM - Prepared Motion - Finals- This House supports a maximum age limit for national office holders in the United States.
