3. All legislation must be of a legitimate / serious nature and that would fall under Federal jurisdiction.

4. We will NOT retype any legislation. All legislation must meet the format as set forth in the Competition Events Guide - see link below. The legislation MUST be in Word format, double spaced, in 10 or 12 point font, and NOT longer than ONE page.  We will not accept any legislation that is typed in a table or that is a PDF. The NSDA has provided templates for both Bills and Resolutions at the following link.

DEBATE TOPICS: We will be using the current NSDA topics in each category.

ORATORY and INFORMATIVE:

1. Please submit Oratory and Informative Titles on Tabroom.

2. Additionally, students who compete in Oratory and Informative MUST upload a copy of their speech(es) plus the works cited page to the  www.turnitin.com  website by Thursday, March 11th.
I have named the class  AZNSDA 2021. In order to access the appropriate class students will need the  Class ID #: 28518392  and the  Password: AZ2021  (Take notice that the PW uses caps and no space). If your students have never used Turnitin.com, please  click this link for complete instructions.

3. Since the oratories will have been submitted to turnitin.com, you only NEED TO SUBMIT the Statement of Authenticity by scanning and emailing it to meghowell4n6@gmail.com.

“This speech is the original work of  __________  (student’s name)  from __________ (student’s school). This oratory (or informative speech) contains _____ (number) of directly quoted words.”

4. This statement must also be signed by both the student and the coach.

INTERP SELECTIONS (INCLUDING POI):

Please enter all of your interp information on Tabroom. In order to prove you have not Frankensteined a script, you must submit 2 copies of your interp script.

1. You MUST scan and email a photocopy of the original interp selection (not a typed copy) with the cutting highlighted at registration. All added words for transition purposes, MUST be noted on the script in the margin where they occur. Make sure to include a copy of the title page, the copyright page with the ISBN number highlighted, and the table of contents if there is one. If the selection comes from a novel or a longer literary work, only copy the pages that contain lines used in the students cutting. Also, make sure to put the student's name, event, and school on the front page. For POI include a complete Works Cited page of every literary selection used in the program.

2. You MUST also scan and email a typed copy of the performance script that has the page numbers (where the line came from) indicated in the margin if the lines or portions of a line are not in the same order in the script. Make sure the student’s name and school are on the script.

3. Email these items to  meghowell4n6@gmail.com.  Make sure you specify the student’s name and event in the subject line.
