On behalf of the staff at Lincoln High School, we would like to cordially invite you to the Silver Bowl Tournament, January 16 -17th. The 2015 Silver Bowl will be in our traditional tournament format. We will showcase unique debate speaker awards, speech finals for the top six contestants, a single site contest, and a well-stocked coaches/judges lounge. We will also have a concession stand for your convenience. Please let us know if you will be staying for lunch and how many. Of course, silver trophies that are the tournament’s namesake will be featured.

We will be running all events at Lincoln High School. We will run 3 prelims of speech with Finals for the top six. Please be sure to check out the events page for specific guidelines when entering students in events. All debate events at all levels will have two rounds Friday night.

The staff would appreciate if upon arrival you would go directly to the auditorium.  Note the schedule.  Three rounds of individual events, five rounds of debate, and finals require you to be on time and keep everyone else on time.

A school’s judging obligation is one for every five entries in individual events or fraction thereof.  A limited number of individual event judges are available for hire.  In debate, a school must provide a qualified adult judge for every two teams in varsity policy and junior varsity policy.  A school must provide a qualified adult judge for every two Lincoln Douglas debaters.  A school must provide one adult judge or competent high school student for every 4 debaters in novice policy.  All judges are expected to judge one round beyond their team’s elimination.  No tournament-hired judges are available for debate. If you are unable to cover your entry then we will have to drop the entry.

All Fees will be finalized as of Wednesday January 14th at 5:00 pm.
