2022 — Carrollton, TX/US

It is our pleasure to invite you to the Hebron Standard TFA Tournament hosted at Hebron High School on Friday, November 4 and Saturday, November 5, 2022.

General Info
We hope to provide you with the best experience possible. Events offered will follow the TFA rules (as available on the website www.txfa.org) and will include:
*Debate: NLD, VLD, NPF, VPF, NCX, CX, WSD;
*Congress;
*Section A: Oration, Informative, Duo, Humorous Interp, Dramatic Interp;
*Section B: Domestic Extemp, International Extemp, Duet Acting, Prose, Poetry, POI;
(The time limit for Prose and Poetry is 7 minutes with 30-seconds grace.)

Additional Event Info:
*Your school must have an adult sponsor available at the tournament at all times.
*Deadlines, fees, and other info has been uploaded to the tournament website. Please make checks out to: Hawk Debate Booster Club.
*If any events end up with less than 10 entries, they will be collapsed;
*Once our building capacity is reached, we will have to waitlist and/or stop accepting entries; the sooner you can get your entries in, the better.
*Cross-entry rules (students cross-enter at their own risk; if they do not show up within an hour of when the round starts, they will forfeit the round): students may enter a maximum of five events; students may only enter one type of extemp; students in congress may not cross-enter in Section A; other than congress, students in the debate events may not cross-enter.

For Debate:
*the power-matching method will be high-low;
*brackets will NOT be broken;
*novice will have the same topics as varsity;
*the debate events will use the November-appropriate NSDA topics available at: www.speechanddebate.org/topics; WSD topics will be listed internally on this website.

For Congress:
*the docket is available at www.txfa.org;
*prelims will use items 16-20;
*finals will use items 21-25.

For Judges:
*You must provide the first judge in each judge category. Please provide as many judges as possible. We would prefer your judges over the judge fee payment.
*Debate judges are obligated for at least one round after the school’s students are eliminated.
*If we have enough judges, we will provide panels for the elimination rounds for the events.

Judge Fees
*Section A & B: 1 judge for every 5 entries or portion thereof; $100 per judge.
