Judge Application Link

We are in need of hired judges. We are hosting in person at HHS Friday, Nov. 4 and Saturday, Nov. 5. If you are available, we can pay $75 per shift. Our shifts are:

Shift 1 = Friday 4:45 pm to 10:00 pm;

Shift 2 = Saturday 8:15 am to 1:30 pm;

Shift 3 = Saturday 1:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

We need you to complete three simple steps as soon as possible.

Step 1: If you don't already have one, create an account on Tabroom.com.

            Fill in “Non-NSDA member info” with email and phone number

            Note: you’ll be texted your judge assignments on the event days

Step 2: Complete our Google form so we have your info.

Step 3: Register online at our tournament website.

            Select your main event category, though we may need you to judge other events as well.

As a confirmation, we will email you more info before the tournament with what you need to know for logistics. 

General Info
All judges must have a linked Tabroom.com account which will be used to send ballots out throughout the tournament. Judges should report to their rounds 15 minutes before the round is set to begin. 

Judge Training
The National Speech and Debate Association (NSDA) has created some valuable resources for judging. The training can help judges to not only understand the events and expectations, but also concepts such as implicit bias and cultural competency.
