we are using the climb elementary debate format which is similar to an extemp version of public forum.

students debate both sides of two topics (announced in the invitation).

this tournament is for 4th and 5th graders; if a coach believes it is appropriate for a 3rd grader to participate, we are fine with that. in general, 6th graders should participate only with the tournament director's permission.
