Event Description:

UIL Persuasive Extemp is a speaking event centered around current events. Students are expected to have a grasp of current political, social, and economic events in the United States and around the world. They are given 5 question choices to choose from and 30 minutes to prepare a 7-minute speech answering the question they have chosen.

Students are expected to demonstrate effective public speaking, persuasive, and research skills.
