Event Description:
efore each debate students are give a choice of three topics. One student may select the topic, and the other may select side (affirmative or negative). Once the topic and side are selected the debaters will receive two minutes of preparation to think of arguments on the topic (no other prep time is given throughout the debate). Rather than choosing a winner and loser in the debate the judge will rank all competitors against each other at the end of the round (1 being best). If there is an uneven amount of students in your section one student will debate twice, however you will only score their first debate.
