Event Description:
Description: Students select a current debate topic and write a 3-5 minute affirmative speech and a 3-5 minute negative speech on that topic. This event allows students to explore debate topics in a new and exciting way while showing off their writing, research, and delivery skills. There are a number of choices that competitors are free to make with regard to the structure of their Pro Con speeches.
Time Limit: 10 minutes, 30 second grace period -- 3-5 minutes spent on each side.
