Event Description:
- The oration shall require no more than ten minutes. There is a 30-second grace period. Students who exceed the time limit by more than 30 seconds should not be given first in the panel.
- The oration may be on any appropriate subject and must be the original work of the student with no more than 150 words of the oration used as a direct quotation from another speech or writing.
- An original copy of the Oratory must be present at the tournament for verification purposes.
- The performance must be memorized.
