Prose Interpretation

Event Description:

1. The selection shall require no more than 10 minutes. There is a 30-second grace period. Students who exceed the time limit by more than 30 seconds should not be given first place in the panel.
2. Prose includes fiction (short stories, novels) and non-fiction (articles, essays, journals, and biographies).
3. A manuscript is required. The use of the manuscript as a prop is allowed.
4. The selection must come from a single published source. The original source of the piece must be present and a digital copy of the cutting should be available at the tournament for verification purposes.
5. The performer should remain in one place with motion limited to the waist up.
