Event Description:
Two contestants performing a ten-minute selection from published, printed novels, short stories, plays or narrative poetry. Materials may be humorous and/or serious. The material shall be memorized and should include an appropriate introduction. Time limit is ten minutes with no grace period. If laughter delays the speakers, the timekeeper shall make allowance by stopping the watch at the beginning and starting it at the end of each interruption.
