Event Description:
This event is for 7/8 and 9th graders who have not competed in a high school tournament. Students have 7 - 8 minutes with 30 seconds grace to give an original persuasive speech on any topic that their coach believes is appropriate. Speech does not need to be memorized. May use 150 words of quoted material with sources provided within the speech.
