Event Description:
This event is for 7/8 graders and 9th graders never in a high school tournament. Students will receive 3 topics and choose 1. They will have 2 minutes to think about the topic and 5 minutes to speak with a 30 sec grace period. Judges will give verbal 30 sec count ups during the 2 min prep period. Judges will use hand signals with a count down 4 min - 3 min - 2 min - 1 min - 30 sec - time. Students may use paper and pen to create an outline during prep period.
