I was in High School Debate, I graduated early so I wasn't able to do it my junior or senior year.
I will judge you based on how the debate is laid out. You will do a good job if I can understand what you are saying. Spreading is ridiculous, I can't even read that fast. I appreciate respect during rounds, if somebody has specified pronouns, abide. Please respect your opponents as they are only trying to debate. I truly love the motive you all have but if you cut any attitude, it resorts to show a lack of knowledge on the debate itself. You can prove you deserve the win without making your opponents feel like garbage.
All that aside, show me you know what you are talking about. I want to see that you are educated on the topics and that you can drive to believe that I should vote for your opposition.

I like logical arguments that make sense and are easy to follow. Originality is great as well. Please do not spew, I cannot follow it. You can still talk fast, just make sure I can understand what you are saying. Try to avoid filler words as much as possible .Eye contact is also important. Voters/impacts are also great. Tell me why you win the round. For LD, I enjoy a good traditional round, don't lose the framework (value/criterion).

I like to see good presence and pace from in your speeches. I look for data used to support your case and also impact information to support your speech. Paint me a picture to help motivate to think. I enjoy a good opening but make it connect to your speech and look for a good summary.

Do NOT use the word, "firm", when saying "I stand in ... aff/neg". Please be mindful and consider every word you use.
Stay away from rhetorical questions.
ROADMAP your points.
Cite your sources.
It is pronounced "new-cle-ar", not "new-cue-lur".
Participate. I will notice if you do not.
Two great speeches are better than five mediocre. Quality vs. quantity.
