Carolina West District Qualifier

for the 2019 National Tournament

World Schools Application

Carolina West will once again be fielding two World Schools teams at NSDA Nationals. These teams will consist of students who entered the district tournament in at least one event and either did not qualify for nationals or indicated in advance a preference for World Schools over their district event.  The district World Schools coaching staff will select the members within one month of the district tournament and notify the chosen team members and their head coaches.

A student who qualifies in his/her regular event but would rather be a member of the World Schools Debate team MUST complete a Single Entry Letter of Intent prior to the district tournament and prefer WSD, otherwise they are locked into the event they qualify in. If the student does this, then decides after the district tournament that they would like to compete in their regular event and not WSD, they can then forego submitting an application and thus not "qualify" in WSD.
