HOUSING

The tournament directors request that all participants competing in The Glenbrooks stay at the tournament host hotels. Hotel blocks have been made at the five sites listed below.  Please make your reservations early. Identify yourself as a participant at The Glenbrooks.

Registration, social functions, and Monday elimination rounds will take place at the Renaissance North Shore.

Marriott Renaissance North Shore – This is our primary host hotel and we encourage our guests to book here- tournament registration, receptions, and debate elimination rounds will take place here.   This hotel is a short distance to GBS, GBN, and the IE venue (Attea MS). Rate is $108.00 a night, which includes wireless.  Ruth Chris’ Steakhouse and a new Italian restaurant, Pancetta, is on property. Potbelly's, Starbucks, and Barnaby's Pizza is across the street.  This is a very large block with a large number of double-doubles.  However, double-double rooms are not infinite - they will be given on a first come, first reserve basis.    There are 180 double-doubles in our block.  Roll-aways can be put in king rooms for $15 a night.  To make reservations, please visit our block's personalized webpage here.

Hilton Northbrook -  1-847-509-7020 OR 1-800-HILTONS – This is hotel is 1 mile from Glenbrook North HS and 2 miles from Glenbrook South HS at 2855 Milwaukee Avenue, Northbrook, IL.  $89 per night per room, which includes wireless.   This is the same as the 2017 rate!  To make reservations online, please visit our personalized weblink

Marriott Courtyard – Glenview 1-800-321-2211 OR 1-847-803-2500 – Recently completed renovations this year! Room rates are $97.00 a night.  Rooms have two queen beds, instead of standard two full beds.  Rate includes high-speed internet access and use of indoor pool/spa. This site is one mile from GBS. To make reservations, please visit here.

Embassy Suites-Deerfield 1-847-945-4500 – Rates are lower for 2018!!  For INDIVIDUAL reservation’s use the code GBD.  For TEAM reservations, contact John D’Astice at 847-597-2750 or at jdastice@embassynorthshore.com.  All rooms are 2 room suites & include daily complimentary made-to-order breakfast; daily complimentary beverages & snacks; sofa sleeper; WI-FI; 2-TV’s; microwave and refrigerator with indoor pool access until 11pm. Rates are $100 for a King bed suite with sofa sleeper and $110. for a suite with 2 double  beds and a sofa sleeper. You can also book online here.

Marriott Courtyard Chicago Highland Park/Northbrook - A Marriott property near the primary tournament hotel.  $79.00 a night.   You can make reservations by calling the central Reservations line at 1-800-331-3131 and request the Glenbrook Speech and Debate Tournament block.    Our contact at the hotel is Krystyne Jimenez.  You can also make your reservations online here.  The block rate ends on October 28th.

TRANSPORTATION

FLIGHTS

We strongly recommend flights into O’Hare airport, not Midway. O’Hare is approximately eight miles from the tournament; Midway is 45 miles in Chicago traffic.

RENTAL CARS

The Glenbrooks does not provide transportation for tournament participants.
