WORLD SCHOOLS DEBATE EVENT

Here are the motions for WSD this year:

Rounds 1 & 2: This House supports establishing international guidelines for exploration, excavation, and recovery of historic sites.

• Info Slide: As a “supports” motion, teams are encouraged to center the debate around the general need for guidelines rather than debating a plan or specific guidelines.

Round 3: IMPROMPTU

Semifinals : IMPROMPTU

Finals: This House would implement an age cap for members of legislative bodies.

For students who do not advance into elimination rounds in LD/PF/Parli may enter as a team on Sunday.

The schedule for rounds will be as follows:

R1 - 11:30

R2 - 1:00

R3 - Prep around 2:30, Round at 3:30 or an hour after prep starts

Semis - Prep around 5:00, round at 6:00, or an hour after prep starts

Finals - 7:15 to 7:30
