OSAA Information Update 4/18/23

Activity Directors and Speech Coaches – Below are various reminders related to the 2023 OSAA / OnPoint Community Credit Union Speech and Debate State Championships. Please take a few moments to review this information before arriving at WOU next week. Entries/Site Contact: The Championship is online at osaa.tabroom.com. Coaches must verify their entries and provide the title/topic areas for their competitors if they are not currently listed. Make sure names are spelled correctly, students are entered in correct events, and all titles/subjects are correct. If not, please contact Jane Berry Eddings at ajbe1@comcast.net. Schools need to verify in Tabroom that the contact we have listed for your team is correct and will be onsite at WOU. Please adjust this information if necessary so we have the most accurate information possible. Judging Responsibilities: All coaches are expected to judge IEs, Congress and Debate if assigned. In addition, each school is responsible to provide 1 judge per every 4 entries. Please have your judges added in Tabroom prior by Tuesday, April 25. Here is a short video with instructions on how to add judges in Tabroom: https://youtu.be/kCUXVxohE7g. Substitutions: CLICK HERE to complete the Drops/Substitution Form and notify the Tournament Committee until April 26. Contact Jane Berry Eddings at ajbe1@comcast.net after April 26. Changes that are submitted are not instantaneous – your patience is appreciated. Student Congress Participants: Legislation will be available on April 19. Please remind participants that they are expected to print the legislation packet and bring it with them to State. We will not be printing legislation for them onsite. Questions or concerns? Contact Kris Igawa (Kristine_igawa@beaverton.k12.or.us). WOU Parking Information (please see attached parking map): Parking passes are not needed this year. Parking Lot G is reserved for Friday, and Parking Lots H and F are reserved for Saturday. Buses need to park in Lot J. WOU will have sandwich boards with big red arrows directing everyone to the correct parking each day. Wireless Access Information (please see attached instructions): WOU uses a self-serve guest wireless access process. When connecting to the WOU Guest Wireless Network, you will want to make sure that you are on the "wou-guest-open" wireless network. Open a browser, and follow the directions provided. Guest WiFi lasts 48 hours. Championship Schedule: Utilize this link to view the final schedule, including rounds and patterns. Ballot Distribution: Coaches are reminded that ballot distribution will be to coaches only. Judges may still add information until the tournament ends on Saturday.
