DUDA HS Workshop #2 Preliminary Schedule - Saturday, January 21

Students will choose from different tracks:

A = Novice World Schools Debate (first year in the activity)

B = Varsity World Schools Debate (second year in the format OR previous Policy experience)

C = Novice Policy Debate (first year in the activity)

D = JV Policy Debate (at least one year of prior debate experience in Policy debate)

E = Varsity Policy Debate (no evidence restrictions)

F = UIL Prep - rotate through options in Session 3 and 4

*Coach Session - Room 2-105 - Policy Judging Strategies; WS Coaches can watch final rounds in 1-410 or Library to learn WS judging strategies.

Option A - Room 1-410 - Novice WS Debate (North Dallas vs. Sunset)- HS Championship Final Round - observe/flow

Option B - Library - Varsity WS Debate (Irma Rangel vs. Law Magnet)- HS Championship Final Round - observe/flow

Option C - Novice Policy Debate -

  • Group A - Room 2-101 - Recap and Reflections - (using LAWS affirmative)
  • Group B - Room 2-102 - Recap and Reflections - (using LAWS affirmative)

Option D - Room 2-104 - JV Policy Debate - Recap and Reflections - (using LAWS affirmative)

Option E - Room 2-104 - Varsity Policy Debate - Fundamentals & Drills (the Disadvantage Post-1NC)
