Hendrickson Pflugerville Swing

2022 — Pflugerville, TX/US

Judging Rules

As we return to in person tournaments being run via Tabroom, there are fewer coaches required to tab/run the logistics of the tournament - therefore, we want to establish a precedent of coaches judging as many rounds as possible in order to a) ensure the highest quality of judging possible and b) minimize hired judging costs for all of us who host tournaments.

Each school attending the Hendrickson/Pflugerville swing must have at least 1 member of their full-time coaching staff (a school employee) in the judging pool (unless we have personally reached out to you about an administrative role on tab staff) - if this presents an issue for your individual squad, feel free to e-mail me at kirsten.nash@pfisd.net - we are hoping to set this precedent for the season so that all of our students receive the best judging possible while minimizing costs for everyone.

This also mirrors the judging standards we hold the community to at TFA State. Additionally, if you have consultants who are highly qualified, please feel free to either a) use them to fulfill the rest of your judging obligation if you have a large team or b) pass their names along to us so we can provide them with a hired judging contract through us.

We will be able to utilize parent judges in every event except Congress, CX Debate and LD Debate as long as coaches are willing to vouch for the fact that they have received training in the event they are entered in. We have plenty of judge training resources, so please reach out to us if you need them. If a parent is found to be unqualified to judge an event they were place in, they will be removed and the school will be charged.
