All debates, gatherings and presentations will occur on Yaatly.  Rooms will be created in Yaatly.  Debaters and judges can access the rooms from the Yaatly event page. 

Links will not be sent with ballots.

Tech Prep & Procedures

Before the Virtual Urban Debate Championship all members of your competition group (debaters, coaches, judges and league contacts) should complete the virtual tournament check list to ensure a smooth experience during the event.
  • Make sure the students emails are connected to roster in Tabroom
  • Create a Yaatly account and link to your team
  • RSVP for the Virtual UDNC on Yaatly
  • Confirm your tournament competition machine meets these guidelines
    • Windows, Mac or Chromebook computer. (No smartphones or tablets)
    • Most up to date version of Chrome browser installed
    • Has access to internet on site at the Local League Hub
  • Log into Yaatly Demo Event and complete "System Check" to confirm Connection, Audio and Video 
If after completing preparation activities a participant is having access or technical issues a member of the Virtual UDNC team will be available to facilitate solutions during the week leading up to event.
 
We strongly recommend at least one preparation session on the site at the Local League Hub where competitors will be competing to ensure that WiFi connections, firewalls and other security settings can be navigated by participants.
