Student Judges' Instructions

Coaches: You will need to add your student judges to your judging roster.

Judges: We would appreciate it if you stayed all day, but your coach may register you for "Not available to judge in the morning" (before noon), or "Not available in the afternoon" (after noon). If you do not tell them to note that you are "Not available," we will presume that you are available, which impacts the students competing. Please be upfront with your coaches!

The day of the tournament, you must fill out the NWCTA required health check available at this link prior to arriving at the tournament. In the "Where are you going on campus?" field, you should enter the with the name of your school so we can identify your Squad Room. If you are unable to answer "No" to all questions, you must stay home. Please communicate this with your coach so that they are not expecting you.

Once you arrive, you will report to your school's Squad Room in the building. From there, you will open your laptop and go to the virtual Judges' Room to let our coaches in that position know you have arrived. They will send you a Tabroom blast with your judging room as soon as they are able.

You will judge in the same room all day. Competitors will come to you. Runners will also come around with refreshments between rounds. You may snack and drink in your room between rounds, but there is no eating during round and please try to limit your drinking during round so that you're not distracted with masking and unmasking while you're judging.
