Event Particulars:

NCFL Rules stipulate a student who goes overtime cannot receive first place in the round. Any further penalty is judges' preference. With the online format, students should time themselves but the judge time is final.

In Duo, the grace period is extended to 1 minute to allow for video lag between speakers.

All speech preliminary rounds have TWO JUDGES.  Please be certain both judges have arrived before the round begins.

Tech Issues:

In the event of an interruption in service on the NSDA platform, you can find updates at the following web address: https://status.speechanddebate.org.  The tournament will continue as soon as any interruption has been resolved by our service provider.

Judges who have tech issues can return to the opening meeting link and mention in the chat they are having an issue, and we will address those at the time.
