Individual Events (Speech) & Congress: 1 judge per 5 entries (+fraction thereof).  If you have six speech entries, you are responsible for two judges.

Public Forum & Lincoln-Douglas: 1 judge per 3 entries (+fraction thereof).  PF and LD are separate judge pools and will be assessed individually.

Junior/Senior students with significant experience may be entered as Novice LD and Novice PF judges.  Please indicate in your registration.  These judges may only cover your 'novice' judging commitment.

Hired Judging Fee $90.00.

We ask that you supply as many ‘qualified’ judges possible.   Judges are expected to be trained and knowledgeable of tournament procedures prior to arriving to the event.  Please ensure they are aware of the NJFL rules (available at www.njflonline.org) and are prepared to stay for the duration of the event.  Schools will be assessed $25 per round that their judge fails to show.

AWARDS
Awards will be presented to all outround participants.  Semifinals will be offered in any event that exceeds 48 students.  A special novice final will be offered for the top six novice students who do not advance to the regular final rounds in events with 30 or more total students.  In events with less than 30, the top nonadvancing novice will be honored at the award ceremony.  The top six schools will receive sweepstakes awards with a 'sweepstakes honors' award being presented to the highest achieving school with less than 15 entries.
