Important Deadlines and Procedures

Fees Freeze Deadline -- 5 p.m. January 8, 2021 (After this day and time, ALL SCHOOLS are still required to pay for all entries dropped after this time.)

New Entries Due (If Space Remains) -- 5 p.m. January 8, 2021 

Hired Judge Charges Frozen -- 5 p.m. January 8, 2021 (We do not plan to hire out any judges in the Varsity divisions and hired judges will be limited in JV and Novice divisions because online tournaments simply must have more tournament judges who are not otherwise committed than physical tournaments do.)

Judge Entry Deadline -- 5 p.m. January 11, 2021 (Because of Prefs in VLD and V Policy, and Strikes in VPF and JV PF, as well as Strikes in JV Policy and JV LD, we need to hold schools to this deadline. Any entries not supported by judges, except in the very limited circumstances of hired judges, will likely need to be dropped.)

Name Changes or Drops -- 10 p.m. January 15, 2021 (Schools may change names or drop entries themselves until 10 p.m. on the day before the tournament. Please understand, however, that schools are morally obligated to pay for entries dropped after the FEES FREEZE deadline because NSDA Campus rooms were purchased based on that number.)

Schools CANNOT change judges names once prefs or strikes have opened. It is VERY annoying for the guests to have to constantly update their Pref and Strike sheets. 

ALL Judges in the Varsity divisions (PF, Policy and LD) must have posted paradigms on Tabroom before the Prefs and Strikes Open. Paradigms do not need to be paragraphs long -- they do need to briefly introduce the judge to the people who will be judged by that individual. Reading judges in the Online World is much harder than doing so in person which makes paradigms that much more important. Schools whose judges do not have paradigms will not be allowed strikes or prefs until this omission is corrected.
