Several important things to note:

- Show up 5-10 minutes prior to your scheduled draw. This will serve as your tech check. Remember that you draw 30 minutes PRIOR to you scheduled speaking time. Take the following schedule for Round 1:

Extemp Draw - 9:00 AM, Round 1 Start - 9:30 AM

If you are the first speaker, show up to the Prep Room between 8:50 and 8:55 AM. The Prep Director will take attendance and answer any questions you may have. Questions will be released at 9:00 AM. You will stay in the room to Prep. At 9:30 AM, you will be released to head into your actual room to speak.

- Please make sure that once you get into your room, you check in with your judges to make sure you're in the right place and then let the judges know the question you picked. Do a quick 30 second tech check to make sure the judges can hear and see you prior to speaking. There will be two judges in each room. 

- Each speaker after the first speaker will offset their draw time by 10 minutes. So if you are the 2nd Speaker, you will show up at the room between 9:00 AM and 9:05 AM for Round 1, receive your question at 9:10 AM, and speak at 9:40 AM. 

- Don't be late! You will NOT be given extra prep if you arrive late, regardless of the reason.
