Worlds motions and schedule update 9/15/20

The schedule change is that Saturday night will be a 7th prelim for all teams rather than an octo-final. Then Sunday will break to quarterfinals. Let's say 25 teams with 7 rounds. All 5-2 break and maybe some 4-3 teams.

Rd 5 - This House would require virtual education during a pandemic.

"Virtual education" refers to instruction in a learning environment where teacher and student are separated by time or space, or both, and the teacher provides course content through course management applications, multimedia resources, the Internet, videoconferencing, etc."

Rd 6 - THBT the United States should renew the START treaty with Russia

The START treaty is formally named "Measures for the Further Reduction and Limitation of Strategic Offensive Arms". It was signed on April 8, 2010 in Prague and after ratification, entered into force on February 5, 2011.

Rd 7 - Impromptu Sunday begins elims Quarters - This House would require virtual education during a pandemic.

**If teams can be placed on opposite sides from their prelim side, we will do this. Otherwise it will be a flip for sides.

"Defund the police" is a slogan that supports divesting funds from police departments and reallocating them to non-policing forms of public safety and community support, such as social services, youth services, housing, education, healthcare and other community resources.
