Required Participation Statement

Schools participating in the 2020 Carolina Kickoff hosted by Riverside High School must send a PDF of the Participation Statement on official school letterhead and signed by the school’s coach and principal. The PDF should be sent to ddejesa@greenville.sc.us by September 25^th, 2020, at 5 PM. The document must contain the follow text, which can simply be cut and pasted into the body of the statement:

Our school is the NSDA degree granting institution for every student attending the 2020 Carolina Kickoff Tournament who is competing under our school’s name.

Each of our students and judges is authorized by our school, school district (or comparable governing body) to participate in the 2020 Carolina Kickoff.

Our team has designated an official school-approved chaperone (most likely the school sponsor or coach of record). We have provided accurate contact information for this individual, who will be available by phone to communicate officially with the tournament about any issues concerning students or judges participating in our school’s name at the tournament.

Our school understands that the tournament and/or teams participating at the tournament may audio and/or visually record any competitor and judge during events. Additionally, our school understands that some rounds may be livestreamed for educational purposes. It is the responsibility of coaches to ensure that their students, parents, and judges are aware of and understand such tournament recording and livestreaming is permitted. Our school shall be solely responsible for and complete any and all paperwork necessary to ensure compliance with applicable state laws regarding such recordings and livestreaming. Our school agrees to all tournament rules, policies, and procedures found on the tournament’s Tabroom website. We agree that if at any time the tournament discovers a student, coach, judge, or school does not meet all the aforementioned criteria, the student(s) and/or school will be immediately disqualified from the tournament and forfeit any payments given to the tournament. 

If our school is entered in Duo Interpretation, we attest that the participating students have recorded their Duos in a manner that complies with all applicable COVID-19 related safety policies as set by their home schools and school districts (or comparable governing bodies).
