Dear Forensics Director,

The McMinnville High School Speech and Debate Team cordially invites your team to the McMinnville High School Invitational Speech and Debate, and Congress Tournament on Saturday January 28th, 2016.

All current topics will be used.

Events Offered: Pattern A: ADS, DI, DUO, OO, LDV, CX, LIBIELL, IMP, POI

Pattern B: Poetry, Parli Debate, Expos, Extemp, Prose, Radio, HI, Public Forum

Pattern C: Congress

Open Division only.

● PF, PD, and LDV debaters may NOT double enter in a debate pattern.

● CX debaters MAY ONLY DO CX.

● Multiple IE entries allowed. AT THE SPEAKERS RISK. Rounds will not be held or re-run for

missed speakers.

● Extemp speakers may lose prep time do to double entry. This is at the speaker’s risk. Lost

prep will not be made up. Extemp speakers are expected to understand and maintain their own

schedules.

● Congress- Bring Legislation. Bring Copies Congress Students may only enter Congress.

Awards will be framed certificates for the top 3 places, and finalist awards as needed,

Sweepstakes trophies for the top three school shall be awarded.

Debate: only four debate entries per debate event. For example, 4 CX teams, 4 LDVers, 4 PF

teams, and 4 PD teams. (emails requesting more teams be allowed will be met with requests for

more judges from your school)

There will be a concessions stand open all day. There is a ton of food within a 3-4 block walk.

Registration is due Monday, Jan 23st by 5pm.

The only changes allowed on the day of the tournament are drops.

Each IE entry (one duo team): $5.00

Each Debate entry (including LD) $12.00

Judge requirements: Please shoot for bringing one judge per 6 students. They will be well taken care of all day.

11:00- 12:15 Round 2 Pattern A,

12:30- 1:45 Round 2 Pattern B, extemp draw @12:30, speak @ 1

12:30-1:45 Congress on Break for Lunch

2:00-3:15 Round 3 Pattern A

2:00-4:30 Congress Session 2

3:30-4:45 Round 3 Pattern B extemp draw @3:30, speak @4

5:00- 6:30 Finals Patterns A and B every final will be asap.

Final extemp draw at 5:15 extemp speak at 5:45

Multiple entries will be handled, and held in as timely a manner as possible.

Awards held ASAP. We are shooting for 7pm
