JW Patterson Invitational at Heritage Hall

2016 — OK/US

The 5th Annual J.W. Patterson Invitational at Heritage Hall School

We would like to invite you to attend the J.W. Patterson Invitational, an annual debate tournament held at Heritage Hall School in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.   We would like to welcome everyone who has attended in past years and also those considering attending for the first time in 2016.  We will offer three divisions of debate: Varsity Policy, Novice Policy, and Varsity Lincoln-Douglass.  The JW Patterson is a Tournament of Champions qualifier with finals bids in the varsity policy debate division.  Dr. JW Patterson is the founder of the Tournament of Champions, retired University of Kentucky Director of Debate, former Oklahoma High School debate coach, and native Oklahoman.  This tournament is named after Dr. Patterson and is a testament to his dedication and lifelong commitment to debate.  We strive to improve this tournament every year and want you to have a great experience on our campus.  We are also pleased to announce that the University of Oklahoma Debate Team will be hosting a policy debate round robin just before the JW Patterson Invitational.  For more information check the OU Round Robin page.  We are happy you are considering adding our tournament to your travel schedule. We would love for you to join us this January for some rigorous competition, hospitality, and quality judging.
