Hello Southern Oregon Speech & Debate Coaches,

We are excited to welcome you to Grants Pass High School for the January Student Congress tournament on Wednesday, January 28th. This will be our first time hosting Student Congress in several years, and we are grateful for the opportunity to bring Rogue Valley schools together again for an evening of debate.

Arrival & Transportation Notes

• School dismissal is at 3:40 PM.

• If your bus arrives early, administration recommends waiting in the Walmart parking lot until check-in time.

• Buses may pull in front of theGPHSGymnasium on NW 9th Street to unload students.

• Students will walk to the Core Building, where the event will take place.

• After unloading, buses should park on Olive Street near the District Office.

Schedule

• Check-in: 4:00 PM

• Judge Training: 4:15 PM

• Session 1: 4:30–6:00 PM

• Dinner (pizza provided): 6:00–6:30 PM

• Session 2: 6:30–8:00 PM

• Awards: 8:15 PM

• Departure: 8:30 PM

We will be using the NSDA January docket under Current Topics. If your school has student-authored legislation, please email togphsspeechdebate@grantspass.k12.or.usby January 21st so it can be added to the docket.
